It is so easy to set up a blog! I thought I would try to stay in touch with people this way. I'm so bad at writing but... As I've been laid off and see no end in sight perhaps I will have the time and inclination to keep up with this. Perhaps it will be monthly.
As all (or some of you know) I just went to Japan. (I got laid off two before I left!). I plan to use some of my time to put together a slide show of the pictures. I have photos of my own as well as from Terry, Charles, Alisha, Cody and from Mexico, Fernando, Francisco. Thousands!!!!
I am also working on my garden. Yesterday I raked and then mowed the leaves for use as mulch. I mixed it into the mulch I have sitting in my driveway.
I will be laying this over my third veggie/cutting flower plot in my backyard. (see photo taken in June 2008) That is where the middle black arrow is. The other two black arrows indicate two other veggie & cutting flower zones. The red arrow indicates the back area which now has more plantings in it as well as being completely covered with mulch.
I hope to set up a log surround for one of my plots (not visible in this photo)in the backyard before it gets too cold to work outside. These are upright logs stuck into the ground. A bit Japanese in style. I have some of this happening in my front yard. I will post more up to date pics. of the yard as it looks a bit different now.
Went on a small hike today with my friend Terry. We went to Roxborough state park. It was a perfect day for a hike-sunny, warm but not hot. This place resembles Red Rocks Park where concerts are held.
